Hi all friends. Here is the story .

I am starting over very soon to build my biggest dio ever (and probably the last one of this size !!)

Will be a Nam War one. .

So i need everything related to Nam War. Mostly looking for resin figures( Verlinden, Hobby Fan, etc), vehicles(wheeled and tracked), equipment, patrol boats and everything that could be incorporated in a dio of a US army camp near the river. Possible diorama bits related to the era and area are also welcome(statue, etc) .

So I am laying down a list of tradies.

Also in case u dont wish something from the following items , but u have spare bits of Nam that u will not use, and since the dio will be pretty big, and costy, please consider suggesting me alternative trades or paybacks for what u wanna get rid off.

In case u dont ask for paybacks, i will send anyway precious cdroms of info and reference that were gathered with hard work all my modelling time.

The thing is that, I need to have all options at hand when i start this since will take me more than one year, want to work rolling wihtout stops, and if i have things to wait upon they will stall me.

With my initial planning the base dimensions will be around 230cm x 180 cm, so u understand that ......lots of stuff will be demanded.

Any possible help of anykind will be welcome also.

In case u really want something, and dont have Nam stuff i will also consider swaps with WWII stuff , but i d prepare to complete my needs for the dio first .

I would also consider seriously all figure related items as 54mm or other scale white metal figgies, or other resin ones from any historical period , but no modern !!!

This one will be given as a gift to anyone that will get 3 or more items . Lets make it fun guys !!!

Post charges will be taken over each part on its side
Thanks for looking guys and feel free to suggest anything . Open to all possibilities

Hello Costas,

I'm not interested in trading items with you, but definetly interested in your dio-project.
I started myself a Battle of the Bulge dio expected to be 300x300 cm.
What are your plans for the base, all in one piece would be problematic, you will not be able to reach in the middle of the dio ?
I am planning to do it in a few (6-7 modules), transportable , fixed together on the expo place, visible lines covered with kept groundwork.
As you are the first i read from planing or doing such a big dio, i really like to hear from you how you approched the planning and all.
Maybe we need to move the discussion to the diorama forum.

Thanks in advance

Cheers from Luxembourg
Claude

Also the M-60 could be converted to an M-48... you would need a replacement turret which i dare say is possible to get hold of from some after market company?

Not true. He'd need a different turret, cupola, main gun, tracks, road wheels, entire hull (except air cleaners, sprockets and support rollers). It would be much easier to swap it for an M48A3.

Costas there were only a very few M-60 tanks in Nam. The M 48 is the main battle tank along with the M 551 Sheridan's. The M 151a2 kit is wrong for Nam also so it would be a good trade. I have some stuff that you might be able to use. I will PM you and see if you can use any.

Ola Kala?

Hey Brother Costas, I've found some stuff in my scrap-box, and I will send it immediately to you!! Some figgies from Verlinden and DML, and some stuff I had lying around from an Academy M113.
I'll also include a bonus figgie as a personal gift, for all the things you did for me in the past....

Cheers, your Buddy, John.
