Believe it oe not, the plastic farm animal playsets that can be found at any toy stor are about 1/35 scale. They actually pook great once cleaned up and painted. I have used them before in dios.

The Tamiya is still in production I believe and quite good. Verlinden also makes some animals (I believe cows and pigs.)>

Kind of off topic, but I just don't get the premade/prepainted Tamiya Finished kits. Why would a modeler want to buy one? Kinda defeats the purpose of being a modeler. I guess they are geared toward collectors or somebody else. The prices are pretty nuts though.

Hi!
Tamiya has reissued their "Livestock set" this year. It's in their catalogue for 2005, so there should be a fair chance to get some animals in plastic. Verlinden has a couple of cows and horses, and I believe Custom Dioramcis even have some rats.

I find it hard to find animals suitable for 1/35, or even 1/32. They are either to big, clumsy or looks more like animals with mad-cow-disease. Thats just my opnion.

Anyway, happy modelling, and good luck with the animals

MK35 editions makes several sets of farm animals.

Their new site is under construction, but you can visit their older site to see what the products look like. They seem to make at least chickens & rabbits set. I remember also seeing cows by MK35. They were in natural poses. Eating grass etc. Definitely no signs of mad cow disease.
