My gosh, just think, 60 years has elapsed and they've just been found! This blows away the 1974 discovery if found to be true. Can you imagine what the transition will be like for them?

Interesting find. I wouldn't be suprised if there are a few more out there, but given the rate that healthy WWII vets are dying, that these 80 some year old vets are still alive (if they indeed are vets) is simply amazing.

If they were taken back to Japan, just think how alien everything would be to them. I think it would be difficult, if not impossible, for them to adjust. The world they remember and the world they would be thrust into....

I think that if they have married Filipino women they would be accustomed to modern life but not Japanese modern life. But if they had been living in the jungle with out much contact with the modern model it would be a different story.

Actualy, there are dozens of elderly Dutch who think we are still in war with the "Moffen" (Germans). They still point them to the wrong direction...

Eeuuuh... thinking about it; most Dutch men think that when Dutch-German soccergames take place :-) :-) :-) :-)

They had something like that on the history channel except it was only one soldier. Supposedly the Japanese treated him like a hero.
