Most resin brands are available on local markets only. But I'm sure listing and evaluating certain brands can help out other users - mostly those that never tried this before.

Place: Belgium
Content : PU resin
Manufacturer: Altropol (Germany) phone +49 (0) 451 499 600
Brand: Neukadur Multicast
Curing time: a few minutes
Color : sand
Personal rating : 9/10
Remarks : Looks a lot like the resin that is used for commercial kits. Does not get too hot, holds it shape well, almost as liquid as water, mixes easily, dries quickly.

Place : Belgium
Content : Transparent PU resin
Manufacturer: Polytek (Easton, PA, USA) - www.polytek.com
Brand: Poly Optic 140 Clear Casting Resin
Curing time: several days
Color : transparent
Personal rating : 8/10
Remarks : The end result is excellent, but it takes patience. Do not de-mold too quickly.
To my experience, this works better than transparent polyester resins

I'm sorry, not all my chemicals carry the manufacturer's name. But I'll add more as I discover more info.

Don't hesitate to give away your resin "secrets". It can only make this hobby more fun to others !

Hello General,
Here's a link for Synair corp. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I've used a few of their products and was very pleased.
