G'day guys
Im extremely pleased to let you know, armorama will be making it's first public appearance here in Aus, at the (first) West Gippsland Hobbies, Models & craft expo this weekend.
Im also glad to let you all know armorama australia will be meeting there, a whole whopping two members, myself and Achtung :-) but i still can't wait, hopefully next time around i can finally convince all the aussies to get their butts down here.
Althought the expo hasnt kicked off yet, i did take two shots while setting up, this is Armorama's display, aka... my display :-)

not huge, but im still happy with it, i hope all of you are two, althought its only my work, it's still representing Armorama. I already had 4 people ask me about the website just while setting up
I will post more pictures when the expo is over.
Cheers

Very good, have you thought about printing out some Armorama flyers with the web address and various features of the site (reference photos, member gallery, reviews, articles, etc.)?

Every time I sponsored award categories in Armorama's name, I'd get all sorts of questions by people asking me what Armorama was. If I had thought ahead, I'd have done up a few flyers on PowerPoint and stacked them next to the sponsorship sign.

thanks for the replys mates.
Robin, yeah, i thought about that too, but it was just too late, i shouldve also thought ahead, and i have hardly any ink in the cartridge, oh well, next time hey!
Delbert, yeah i got the same question today, from fellow military modellers..."what is www.armorama.com", after so many asks you just wanna reply with "its a street address go find it" :-)
but ya gotta be nice, hopefully they will go home and visit the site, so we get more victorians!
Cheers

To those of you that live in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and of course Texas. There is a model show next weekend (May 21) in Mesquite (Dallas) called Squadron Scalefest. There are 5 or 6 of us Armoramaites that are going to meet. Of course, the more the merrier, we can establish the South Central Region. Anybody interested in coming PM me and I'll give you directions or whatever info I can. We'll definitely take a group shot so the rest of you can see us buzzards. Oh and if you need a good incentive to come. It is the only time Squadron opens its doors to the public. You walk in the door they hand you a flyer, catalog, and a shopping basket. :-)

David

I hate to tell you that I have stolen your thunder and advertised Armorama at our comp the first weekend of May - just gone.

However I will admit that I didn't think of flyers - it was just a highlighted reference in my Double Take entry that I also entered in our large scale aircraft category.

I hope your comp goes as well for you as ours did - we actually made a profit of more than $30 this year.

Brian

ok, so it's the second australian appearance, and first victorian, BUT, did you meet up with other armorama members :-)
glad to hear you also put it in the spotlight though mate, from the looks of yesterday id say theres gonna be a fair bit of profit once we set aside the fee's for leasing the building.
Cheers

The other thread was made yesterday.
Expo is over now though, and it was great
