I may be going to Kuwait for an extended stay in the near future. Does anyone know of any hobby shops in the area?

I bet Doha has changed since my last trip there about 10 years ago (exactly 10 years ago). The PX there may carry a small amount of Revell-Monogram and Italeri kits, but if you get stuck at the 6th Brigade Camp, you will probably be SOL. Take a Squadron or Model Expo flyer with you and trust the APO system.

Doha PX carries a few, but not really any selection to speak of. I have plenty of unbuilt kits under the workbench to bring. I was more concerned with paint, glues, and other hazmat items that may be a poblem through the mail system.

I was there last in 95 and there was a shop in downtown Kuwait city that had a lot of Tamiya RC stuff and some kits and a bit of verlinden stuff, prices were good, memory fades as to exactly were it was. I don't think there was a lot of military stuff at the time. If I remember it was the mall with the Pizza Hut in it??? Hope this helps sorry I can't give more detail.
