Try fixing her her favorite meal, running her a hot bath with the favorite bubble bath in it and taking the kids out for a bit while she's enjoying the tub. Place a nice card by the tub.
Yes experience is the best teacher. Got caught in your place. Hey it worked, she thought I was the sweetest man alive. At least till I messed up again.....
