I don't know about the Gold Coast but there is a Mr Toys (I think) Toyworld at Springwood that is pretty good from what I remember.

If you are going into Brissy then there is the Hobby & Model Centre in George Street (the middle of town) as well as another couple over at Stafford (on the North side). I can't remember their names as I haven't been down to Brisbane for a couple of years.

I know Jasmils is from Brisbane so a PM to him may help.
