Hello,
I have a problem.
I was sitting in the bathroom one day, ya know, just sitting around...reading.
I glance at the tub next to me and notice a small plastic toy boat that I figure is about 50 feet in 1/160th scale.
I, of course get the blossom of an idea to take off the removeable "topside" off the hull and use the hull as a base for a 50 foot N-scale super-gunboat.
Brilliant!
Except.
I sanded the hull, inside and out, and painted it. (just to see if it would accept paint) It did.
It was rough, but it took.
Glue however, will not take.
It happens to be the same kind of plastic that they use for milk caps.
Alas, I didn't realize this before completing most of the new "topside" from plastic stock.
It seems I need a resin replacement hull.

I haven't ever casted and I don't think I can afford the supplies and extra time right now.
Does anybody need a sidejob?
I can offer this:
I will pay for shipping (of course)
You can keep the original plastic hull if you cast me two replacement hulls.
I will pay the best offer I get if anyone has the talent to share and the will to help .

Please. anyone?

Cuhail

Murph, How long and how wide is the piece? I have the means to do them if they will fit into my pressure casting chamber. If they will fit, I'd need more silicone for the molds as well. Standing by. "Q"

No help needed, yet. I am in the process of whipping up a vacuum forming machine.

I kinda posted this topic prematurely, I had a bazillion ideas at once and posted before I thought about it.

But thanks! I'm glad that a few of you jumped right in with offers to help.
