Just a question; how do you guys (and galls) keep up with all those forum posts???
I login from time to time and look over some latest posts, but I always seem to be missing some I'd liked to read.
I know to subscribe on forums, but is there a way you get noticed about new topics, for instance on your email or so?
Are there any 'faster' ways to keep up with them?

Thanks!

I tend to spend more than a few hours on the site every day, so i guess i don't really have that problem. Anyway, on the latest posts forum there is an envelope type thingie that tells u if there has ben a new post since you last lodded in or visited the site...

In the days before I got addicted :-) I would basically just surf the forums that held the most interest for me personally.

It's an addiction... :-)

I have the joy (curse) of working on computers ALLLL day long so Armorama is on pretty much from 6am to about 9pm . I hang out on the latest post page and refresh as I go through the day.

There was a time when the cookies weren't working and either every post was marked new or every post was already marked read.

The problem I have is that the new post markings don't seem to neccessarily relate to whether I actually read the post. I'm not 100% how it goes. There are posts that I haven't read that quickly get pushed to the bottom by newer posts may not get the new envelope flag. I think it has something to do with new post within 15 minutes of the time you log on or something. Maybe someone could explain that better.

I'm rather lazy. I click the "latest posts" from the homepage and usually just surf the posts that pop up in the screen. I don't bother scrolling down too far or at all unless I am specifically looking for a post.

Unless the topic title interests me, catches my eye or it is in a forum I monitor, I usually pass the majority by.

Well, when I get here for the first time each day, I'll first try to answer any PM's.
then I go check out the forums that I'm involved in.
#1 is the Staff Forum.
#2 is the A-Guard Forum.
#3 is the JunkDraw...... I freely admit to being a JunkDraw Junkie...... :-) :-) :-)
Then it's the latest posts page.

Time permitting, I visit the other forums.
Since I'm on and off several times a day, especially lately with the limited time for sitting, due to surgery, it's amazing that some how I do get to look at all the forums, except the ones I've opted out of.
As a side note, I try to spend approx an hour each day going through galleries, and reading articles, past and present. And always looking forward to future articles.

Hey, thank you guys!
OK, I was doing allright than; it's just a matter of the ammount of time spending on the site, making priorities and... addiction...
My wife allready knew this, as she told me. She said I'm addicted since I joined up Armorama :-) :-)

The enveloppe thing was new for me; it's some help!

Have to say; this site boosts up the hobby, though... I can't say I'm actually building more because I spend my time here on Armourama (a bit too much). Well, I gues the hobby is more than building models

Funny how to have contacts all over the world. I'm on GMT+1 time.
When I go to bed and have a fast look at Armorma first, I see messages of people just getting prepared for dinner or just arriving at work...

Sleep well, work hard, bon appatite!

Me too. I have my computer on from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Armorama is on all the way and refresh every now and then. Also, I have a computer at home, so I could surf at night if I want to.

You can identify new threads/replies through:

1) check marks at the side of the forum
2) pink folders in the forum denoting new threads or new responses.

years ago you could keep up with all the posts, now, I just hang out in 3 or 4 forums unless i have a specific question that I need to go into ones I don't normally monitor. Even then there is so much I miss, but with so many knowledgeable folks on our net by the time I see something to respond to a dozen others have already answereed, had disagreements and gotten off topic 4 times :-)
