I have ordered with out a problem.
Paid with paypal, half my order was not in stock, so what was is stock was shipped in a day ot two, and at my door in 10 days, when the other stuff came in, it was shipped, and again arrived in 10 days. AND no extra charge for second shipment.
As far as I am concerned, Ray is a top shelf guy to order from.

Keenan, no matter where you are, the postage is the same. I would pay the same postage whether I was in California or NW Spain. The service is efficient and fast. Another thing, is if you have a question or a problem, Ray answers his e-mails very quickly. It's a first-class service...Jim

Lucky Models is an advertiser on this site and has personally posted news about his new low shipping rates. He gave a bunch of hints on how best to select the appropriate shipping option depending on size.

fast return on email about your order, usually within 24 hours
i use the 7 - 11 day rate
packaging of model/s is great, no damage to shipment so far, even tho they can't control the handlers after its shipped.

on a 1 to 10 i give em a top ten rating.

I placed my first order with Lucky Models back in March. I waited a week and it still showed as "In Progress." I emailed them but heard no reply. I waited another week and still it showed "In Progress." I email then again and this time got an immediate response. I do think perhaps the first email got lost in the ether. Anyway Ray replied that they had experienced higher than expected demand, because of their new lower shipping prices. Also it was at the time of a local holiday, which delayed things even more. He apologized, and without asking upgraded the shipping to air, instead of the by ship that I paid for, at no extra charge. I actually got the shipment about a month earlier than I would have originally .

I was very happy with the service I got. Mistakes can happen to anybody, and it's the way they handle it after the fact that matters. They gave me more than I asked for, and I'm happy. I'll be ordering from them again.

Lucky Model sounds really good from y'all's posts. But how expensive is their shipping? B/c when I put three different kits into the cart, the estimated shipping alone came out to be $36 with 7-11 day airparcel. I know that it is an "estimated" amount but how much were actual shipping charges according to y'all's experiences?

Dear Petition2God,

Usually for 1/35 AFV items, two kits is the max. limit for "small packet" shipment (L+W+H

Billy Pierce,

This email confirms that you have paid GLOBAL INFORMATION SOLUTION SYSTEM ([email protected]) $21.28 USD using PayPal.

This credit card transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL *LUCKYMODEL

this is a copy of the confirmation i got back from luckymodel, and it matched what was quoted to me.

as i usually make individual orders, it really doesn't cost that much to me, and to reiterate, i got this notice in less than 24 hours after ordering.
any more questions feel free to pm and i will answer ya asap

I think I am "fixin to " have a dispute with them. On April 2 I ordered a set of 350 scale aircraft for my Lady Lex. They show to have shipped it on the 11th. No notice given nor is there a tracking number listed. On the 25th I sent an email asking for further info (that's 14 days for an airship mind you). It's now the 29th and they still haven't responded. I'll try another email and hopefully they can at least tell me what's up. First time I ever used them, so we are not off to an auspicious start

Dear Steve,

Sorry that we may have some tech problem on our email server as we are moving our warehouse and office during the period. Your email may be get loss.

You can track your order in "My Account". Your kit has been send on 11th April and we have similar customer feedback that they do not have received it yet yesterday but some of them come back and said they received it today.

So, I guess some mail delay happens. If you have any question, please feel free to contact me.

Best Regards

Thanks for your response Ray. Of course right after I complain, the kit shows up safe and sound. The package mail system where I live seems to become a case of "walking through molassas in the dead of winter". You can put me down as one of your endorsers

Tho' this post was concerning the US,as someone who has ordered stuff to be sent to the UK I have found Lucky Model to be a good site to order from,as have other people that I know.
One thing to be aware of(which may down to my stupidity)the first time I ordered I stated in my shopping cart that I wished to have the kit sent airmail, but when I recieved the confirmation e-mail it stated that the item was being sent surface mail.
Subsequently I have noticed when ordering that you have to re-enter your shipping choice at the checkout stage to ensure that it is sent the way you wish.,as I think it maybe defaults to the cheapest postage cost.
In my experience surface mail took 2 months to arrive whereas airmail only took 8 days.
I will certainly buy from Lucky Model again.
Chris

I just received my first order from them today. The actual shipping time was 10 days. I picked up the Academy M-51 and Dragon Modern Machine Gun Set for less than what the Academy kit would have cost me here, and thats including the shipping price. I will definitely buy from them again.

I've just checked the Lucky Models website, an order I placed on 14 April is still 'in progress'.
I've had no response to an email I sent two days ago. I don't know what to do now, if I cancel I wouldn't trust them to refund to my card. In order to finish one model I had to purchase the item from the U.K., that came next day!
Lesson learnt is that I will never use Lucky Models again. By far the worst experience of buying over the net that I've ever had.
