Hello,

I am not sure if this forum is the right one for this topic. If not, mods, please feel free to transfer this to an appropriate forum. I just feel the need to let this out of my system.

I would just like to say that I am very happy and proud to be part of Armorama. Truly, this is the best site in the world...not just in modeling but in any other site. There is no other site that I've been to (even non-modeling sites) with people who are so friendly, caring and helpful.

I have learned so much from all of your advice and comments....postive and negative ones. I may have modelled for quite some time, maybe 17 or 18 years. But it is here in Armorama where I truly found the skills and attitude necessary for a true and great modeler. It is here in Armorama that I re-discovered the joy and the essence of this exciting hobby. It is here where I re-discovered the skills of being resourceful and having a sharp eye for detail.

But Armorama has taught me more than modeling. You all have taught me how to be patient. You all have taught me to be generous in giving praise. You all have taught me how encouragement can boost a person's confidence. You have taught me that criticisms are a mirror to my weaknesses.

Most importantly, it was here where I found true friends. I never knew that I can find genuine frienship from people half a world away. Even if we haven't actually seen each other, you people are almost like my second family.

In other words, Armorama and its members have taught me many things that I value in life.

I'd like to give special thanks to Blade48mrd, who has always been my best buddy here in Armorama....my caretaker and my friend. Special thanks also go to Major_Goose, Graywolf, Slodder, PlasticBattle, Warthog, Shonen_Red, Andy_007, theBear, Tarok, Jackhammer, Tankysgal, Beachbum, Henk, etc.

And a great many thanks for all the other people not mentioned above who have helped me through all this time on everything. You know who you are!

And of course, for Jim and his great staff, for developing this site. Without him and his other staff, I could never have meet the most amazing people I've ever met in my life.

Armorama will always have a special place in my heart. All the memories, skills, advice, fun, laughter and frienship will always be cherished.

I love you all very much.

Dear Sister,
I fully agree on your thoughts about Armorama. Armorama added a lot to our lives and I am really thankful to Jim for this website. It has always been a pleasure and honor to share everything with Armorama family here and i wish it goes the same way for many years. All I can say : Thanks to you too and I love you too.

Besides; you know some of us in your list are over 35-40 and we can get much excited when a young lady like you tells I love you. I can hear Costas heartbeat from the other side of Aegean sea now....about 120-130.. :-) :-)

Stay safe Sister

Hey Angie,

I have no idea what I have done other than be myself to be honoured by being mentioned along with some of the greatest modellers and people I have ever had the blessed fortune of meeting.

Your message is definitely echoed in all our hearts! We all owe so much to staff_Jim, JimBRae and all the staff of Armorama, I doubt we can ever truly repay them for all the good they have done for us! I think very often we forget that this site is about so much more than modelling...

Now, before I am further reduced to a blubbering heap... :-) :-) :-)
Thanks for being you! Luv ya too babes!

As for myself, I am always glad to help You have listed a great group of people there. A group that in my opinion mirrors yours in that they are always willing to help in anyway possible. My hats off to them all. Cheers Kevin

well Angela we have to thank u for ur feelings and Armorama is paradise for modellers and socialized humans as most of us are. Some exceptions may always confirm that rule. So its really good u feel this way and dont ever hesitate to ask for more help , Armoramians are always on the run to help and assist. Something like scouts. Of course when a nice young lady seeks help and care, i bet some wolfy over 30 guys are more willing to give it ..so ....ur task is even easier !!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

Keep safe Sister and know that were all here for u and every armoramian in need of help

GROUP HUG

I second that...... :-) :-)
It is also nice to see someone else writting my own sediments.
As I wipe a tear from my aging, blurry eye..... with a shaking hand.....
This is the best site on the web, simply because of the outstanding membership, whom are simply more than just members, but actually a part of a world wide family.
We actually do care about each other..... not just modelling.
I hope we never forget to count the "HUMAN FACTOR", along with the rivets.

Well Angela ..I too feel very honored to be mentioned by name in your post ...I too find it very comfortable on this site and at times I feel like I'm the meanest one to critisize peoples work on this site ...It is always meant help and never meant to put anyone down.. During my 30 years of modelling I find my skills have grown exponentially(spelling) since I found this site... Actually meeting people that I have admired over the years and have them answer my questions...Ain't this site great.. Just remember that I'm always ready to help out if I can ..either by answering a question or a private message ..my door is always open for you and all the rest of our members.

All the best

Truly a unique, and, well, yes, special community. There is no place on the web like Armorama, that I've ever been involved with.

Jim provided the leadership, set the tone and allowed the members to build something very special. (Darn, there's that word again).

A tip of the hat and a virtual toast to Jim, his hard working staff and the members that are ARMORAMA.

Yes. This is the thing that made Armorama a very unique site. People here actually care, even though they haven't seen each other.

I am very honored to have all of you as my inspiration for modeling. All of you will always be a part of my life.

I'm a newbie here, but I feel at home here. Every question I've asked, all of you have answered. And I might add all the answer were very usefull. Thanks. The letters of concern and encouragement at my recent hospitalization meant alot to me and Linda.
I don't live in a large community, and about all the imput our club members normally get on modeling is from area contests. And I'm sorry to say but a large number of the builders consider themselves elitests and rarely divulge any info. They fear competition.
I don't get that feeling here. I look at your gallerys and see some of the best work I've ever seen. And all of you seem more than wiling to share. More than willing to teach. That's why I'm encouraging every member of our club to join Armorama.
And I'm extending to all of you an honorary membership into our club. S.W.A.M.P. ( South West louisiana Area Modelers of Plastic )
And for all of you that have looked at my Sherman and offered advice on how I can improve it. I plan on putting it all to good use and letting you see the final results as soon as it's finished. Tanks for the help,
jerry

I've met also very nice modellers all over the world since I joined and I realy enjoyed these contacts.
Jim and the staff; Thank you for all good caring of us!

One of the things that I've learned in this wonderful site is that there is always someone better than you. Always.

Armorama has taught me how to be humble and how to learn from others. It also taught me that all people have something special in them...something that we can all learn from.

And I thank Armorama not only for the modeling stuff but for teaching me important things about life.

Hi Sister,
I agree on your nice words about Armorama. I learned and shared many things here about this hobby. And this hobby, I think, is more enjoyable when we're sharing it. Beside, I now have friends from all over the world..
Nice to be here and nice to have you here..

Having only access to the web about once a week at the moment, untill my home connection will be restored, it's tricky to try and keep up with the forums...
So having hit this post out of curiosity, I was surprised but honored to see my name amongst those other guys (and Gal, sorry Mary ). I think this sums it up for me:

This is why I joined Armorama, and why I will be spending a lot more time here, as soon as my phone company gets their a@@ in gear :-) :-) .
Thanks Angela, take care and you must have made a typo in your post, surely you didn't start modeling right from birth....

Cheers
