I'm sure some of you may not even know, but last weekend was christmas 2 for me. It was of course the time for the annual model expo. This time held in the Helsinki's old hockey arena (Hartwall arena being the new) for the 23rd time (or something like that), the expo featured a model competition, RC car and helicopter shows & races, raildroads, robowars, and of course, many model shops having a stand where all kinds of models and accessories were sold at special prices.

I was there on Friday and Sunday, and on Sunday I had a digital camera with me and I took a whole lot of pics from the show. Here's a couple:

That 1:72 chopper was one of the most innovative models in the show. It was built as one of the helicopters from the movie Apocalypse Now and it played a sample of "ride of the valkyrias" when you pushed the button on it.

As usual, the exhibition was very enjoyable and some of my models even won a couple of trophies! I placed 3rd in the fantasy & Sci-Fi class with my 54mm Predator and 2nd in small scale armor with my Bradley (of which you've already have seen pics here).

I got many more pics, but due to the limited space in my account, so I reduced the size of the pics to 600x450 and uploaded only the most clear pics. There was also a real Daimler Ferret armoured car in united nations markings there. I took a set of pictures of it. If you need some reference, I can upload them those too.
Cheers
