A thin coat of 5 minute epoxy will give you more time to position the zimmerit than using CA.

I'd go with quick-drying Epoxy.
It gives the opportunity to correct mistakes, you'd have to be very precise in order to use super glue.

If you use epoxy, you can also thin it, so it will brush on smoother. If I was doing it, I would use a 15 minute epoxy, and add a few drops of lacquer thinner, and brush it on as smooth as possible, using an epoxy brush (also sold as Flux brushes) at the local hardwear store.
The reason I would use the 15 minute stuff, is it allows more time to mix the thinner in, and brush it on, and place the epoxy
zimmerit correctly.

I have Tamiya Stug III that I have put Cavalier zimmerit on. I used 5 minute epoxy and it worked just fine.

Grumpyoldman has a great idea which I will use in the future.

Sabot was right, I tried using CA at first and it sets too fast. Even the 5 minute epoxy sets pretty quick if you are really having to work with the piece.

Im sure i read somewhere very recently, where the modeller used white glue .. brush out neat. Both surfaces were roughened a little first for better contact and the ends were tidied up with cement.

EDIT: post found

I used the slow drying super glue...it gives you close to a minte of wiggle time

I actually apllied the PE zimmerit on my DML Elefant using satin varnish, it's still on there 2 years down the road. I have a Panther G early and a late Tiger 1 with Cavalier zimmerit and I intend totry using satin varnish on them.

Another way attach it is to get it lined up on model, peel a side up and use thin superglue to attach it. Then work your way around the piece with the super glue to keep it attached.

I'm in the white glue corner. Three years and still holding even after a lot, and I mean a lot, of handling. The 5 min epoxy works well too. The problem with the superglue and its fast setting time, is misalignments are hard to fix if it sets and you run the risk of tearing the zimmeritt sheet since it is so thin. Like you said though, many different ways to skin a cat. They do taste like chicken you know :-) "Q"
