The later Dragon kits include metal tow cables in their 1/72 scale German armor kits.

Hi Jody,

Try looking under "Vehicle Detail and Accessory Sets" of this link for companies:
http://www.ontheway.us/kitlists/manufacturers.htm
or
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/550

If you want to make them yourself, try using electrical cable. Cut it open and use 5 or 6 strands and twist them into each other. You can use the towing cable end that come with the kit by cutting them of the cable that comes with the kit. Drill a hole in the end of the cable end and insert the cable you made. Or make the ends yourself by looping the end of your calbe back using a small tube to create an end.

Somebody could probably explain this beter than I do. I do remember a topic about this somewhere, try a search on armorama.

Cheers,
Pascal

To save money, twist about 8 strands of fuse wire together, cut to length and then loop the ends to finish. Ive done this before and it works quite well. Good luck.

Them are going to make mighty thick cables, I only pull out a 3 or 4 strands and it matches up with the 1/35 cable, of course it all depends on what gage wire you take apart, to how big the strands you start out with.
