Hi All,

Short time lurker, first time poster.

The names Shane and I currently reside in Adelaide, SA. Originally from WA but have also lived in just about every capital city. I have a service background. 10 years in RASigs with a stint in ARes before that. I've been an ex Serviceman for over 10 years now.

I enjoy Military ground based vehicles and figures in 1:35 scale. I've been in and out of modelling over the last too many years and have returned recently with a passion.

We're off around Oz in a couple of weeks so forum posts could be light but it will be a good way to keep in touch. I'm carting my toolbox and some figures to keep me busy.

I look forward to talking to like minded people and maybe even catching up for an ale or three in our travels.

Cheers
MrRoo

Will do. By the time we get to Melb. I'll need a beer

Silly question, but is the tank museum worth a visit? Assuming you've been of course.

Hi Adrian,

Tks for the info on Pucka. There also a tank museum in Melb. 456 Belgrave-Hallam Road, Narre Warren North. I have the flyer for it and it looks pretty good. My son wants to go to the one at Pucka as well.

We're also keen on the Nat. War Museum as there's been a lot of work done since we were there in '96.

At this stage we're looking at a World Tour of Aussie War Museums.

Cheers

G'day Shane.

The Narre Warren museum is also excellent, but I'd phone before going as I believe they close for winter. There's also the Vietnam Veteran's museum at San Remo - I'll track down some more info on that.

Regards,
Adrian

Tanx for the info Adrian. I'd hate to be standing on the doorstep reading a sign that says "Closed for Winter" with my mad keen youngster pushing on the door.

Tks also for the welcome Ian. I've fallen in love with figures. They're kind of adictative in a way. Tks also for the offer of assistance. Vehicles are on the back burner while we're travelling. Figures will take up less space and be easier to deal with in the van. It hasn't stopped me buying though. I already have three vehicle kits stashed away. I may have to send to my folks for safe keeping (hide them from my wife).

Cheers
