Happy birthday on the 21st, thought i would say that now, as when you become a teenager you won't talk to us, say everything is unfair and hate us all :-) :-) .

Phil,
Is that FW-190 in your gallery your own work?
Is it the same one scene recently in RRB or CC or some other thread?
I can't believe it is the work of a kid! (No offense)

If you can do that level of work now, and you are able to stick with the hobby through your teen years (easy to say at the moment--wait until you discover girls, or they discover you), imagine what you will be producing in your 20s!

I for one would like to see more. What else have you done/are working on?

Philip,

Dont worry, your not the only "kid" on Armorama. Im 15 and am a somewhat regular poster.
The guys are right, once the teen years hit, modeling time will go down and freinds and girls will become a lot more important to you. I know that for a fact. I've been getting less and less modeling time since the start of High School last fall, partly because of HW and sports, but also because of girls and freinds. It takes a little bit of time to find that right balance of time.

BTW Happy birthday on the 21st.

Also, if im not mistaken Harrison (TsunamiBomb) is 15 or 16? Harrison am I right.

Regards
Matt

I'm 18 and a regular poster. Don't worry I felt pretty young on this site at 17 when I started last year. "Playing with the big boys" comes with the territory.

Used to be, but my grades started dropping so I gave it up to focus a little more on school. Had some great times skating though.

I'm 18 now.....

But you know, I don't think the difference in ages really counts here. Everyone treats everyone at the same level and that's a good thing!

One of the great things about this hobby is that it becomes a life long source of enjoyment. The more you build and learn the more your skills improve, and hopefully the more fun it becomes.

I'm personally extremely happy that modeling appeals to both those whose "thoughts about driver's licenses" are focused on getting it AND on keeping it!!! :-) :-) :-)

Age doesn't really matter - you come into this world bald, jibbering and wearing a nappy (diapper?) and you go out of it the same way!! LOL,. Just make sure you have fun with the bit inbetween

PS - one more year and I'll start counting back the other way! That way I can be a teenager again in about another 30 years- trouble is I'll only barely be able to remember what teenagers do!

hey, u should tell people what your hobby is. ive never had any of my buddies brign me down, they actualy all encouraged me, i actauly got people to try it out and found out iam not alone at school who builds model, tho others arnt as seriouse as i am about it, we all have something in comon: were afraid to be made fun of because its kidna looked at as a geek thing, but we no that isnt true

as for you pat, get those grade up, its more impotant than skateboarding, your def smarter than i am, i chose to skate instead good times, bad grade lol(not so bad:P)

I started when I was 7 and now I'm 51. I am thrilled there are so many of you younger folks out there doing this. I work with the Boy Scouts and all the local kids know about me and my models, so I am trying to keep the spirit alive. But I think what we are trying to say, is this is a hobby for LIFE. I envy you. I have seen so much change, growth, and improvement in all these years and am very excited to see what is around the bend. Think of what modeling will be like for you in another 40 years?

Does age really matter? The interest is what is important don't you think...

Frankly I see little function on this thread either - just what does it matter what age someone is?...Jim
