Ok, I've got to get this of my chest...

Finally, after months of begging, grovelling, chores, etc... SWMBO grants me a splash out that was on my wish list for ages. A bottle of the queen (or king?) of whisky's, 18 year old Macallan. (30 year old was stretching it a bit and would mean slavery the rest of my natural life... ).

Problem, local shops are a no no, 12 year old, no problem, but 18 year old... 1 specialised shop has it listed, but hasn't seen a bottle of it for about 2 years (perhaps I was interested in a 30 year old, he had one in stock... yes, please for the price of the 18 year one...).

Hmm

But wait... what about the internet, the must have a site, surely...

Yes!!! they do, and it even has an online shop... oh goody...

Now let's see, 18 year old Macallan, yep found it...

Alrighty, order... yes, please 1 bottle.

"enter details please"... ok: Mr... in ... country: Belgium

We are sorry, but we can not ship any alcoholic drinks outside of the UK, but you can order any other items from our webshop. Contact your local retailer to obtain Macallan whisky or something along those lines..

Aaargghhh Noooooo

Kris

P.s.: hey kids, you'll know what I'm talking about when your older. There's whisky... and then there's Macallan.

You have my deepest sympathies. I have heard once of a fellow who had a bottle of the 30 year stuff. He was asked once what it tasted like and he said, "oh it's far to good to drink, I just take the cork out every once in a while and sniff it, to dream of what's inside." I once had a 15 year old rum and it was liking sipping the elixir of the Gods.

Surely one of the Brits on here can help you out? Or would it get stopped in customs?
