I just finished building my 1/72nd scale Russian tank depicting the same tank in the movie "The Beast" and I would like to know ,who makes the best sand color for this particular tank in the movie? I looked at model master sand in the acrylic line and it seems a little light. Can anyone please help?

I think the colour mentioned will do fine, but need to be darkened afterwards by blending and weathering.
When the tank just came out of the workshop, it would be that colour! If it's been on duty several weeks, the colour is different. Look at the movie; in the beginning the tank is cleaner/lighter than later on...

Here are 2 pictures, 1 of the Beast (as reference so others can discuss the color too)
and the second is from another T62 used in Afghanistan.

Also try this link: http://www.panzernet.com/galeria/t62bddp/t62bdd.html Pictures of a T62 in Afghanistan in 1:35. The email adress is there, so if you like the colours: just mail the guy, I guess!

Good luck with the model and let us see the result when THE BEAST is finnished!

&:)

Since the tank in the Beast was played by an Israeli Tiran (a T-55 not a T-62), I would suggest that you look at IDF colours.
