I was looking around the net searching for tours that I wished I could afford. I found this. Oh to be rich and be able to go on a tour like this. Maybe one day when I hit the lottery..................

There are too many things here in the States I haven't seen to jones for a trip over seas. I have been to Gettysburg several times and Antietam once. Never been to Yosemite or New Orleans, Shiloh or the Wilderness.
I would like to see the Normandy beaches before I check out but they are down pretty far on the list. Hell, I want to go to Maine just to eat..

I have a 5 gallon water cooler bottle I am filling with my change just for that. I figure by the time it's full, it should pay for my trip. But at the rate I'm going, I'll check out before it's full. BTW, Shiloh is worth the trip. My high point was going to Gettysburg a couple of years ago. Of course, I had to go to Aberdeen since I was so close. Now that you metion it, a Maine lobster in Maine would be good.................

I for one would love to mke the trip. Of course you could throw in a side trip to Normandy and Verdun and then hit Sharpsburg after hitting the States. Seen Gettysburg twice and living in Richmond and going to VMI I managed to catch several battlefields as well

Yeah, that would be nice! I had the chance to tour the battlefields within Germany, never made it to Omaha Beach (biggest regret). The good news is that in four years both kids will be grown and ...someplace....and we'll be able to take a trip back to Europe (to make up for my mis-spent youth)

Been to Vicksburg Civil War Battle site so many times I could give tours there. I think the tour on my top priority list still would be Normandy. After that I can start thinking about Stalingrad or Kursk. One day at a time till then.
Have a superb weekend gents!
