HI, Well this is supposed to be National Colon Cancer Month, so today, after arguing with my family doctor for over 2 years about doing it, I finally went and had a colonostophy done. Most interesting. The hardest part of it was taking the drug industries' equvilent to Liquid Drano to clean our the old 'pipes' last night and this morning. Ha! And being somewhat loopy afterwards, which I still am by the way, so I hope this post sounds logical.

Anyway, while they were up in there they did find what the doctor called a very small polyp and removed it, but didn't think that it was cancerous (although they have to send it away to be tested, just to be on the safe side). So it was a good thing that I went ahead and had this procedure done.

So I would recommend that anybody out there who happens to be 'getting on in years' should have this test done, esp. if they have something of a history of colon cancer anywhere in their family's history.

This will be my public service anouncement for the season to all my fellow modelers here on Armorama. Ha, ha!

Take care, Sgirty

Glad to here every came out all right Larry. (Sorry for the pun) Hope that polyp is indeed benign.

There was a hilarious episode of the show Two and a half men the other day. One of the brothers had to have that procedure, even though he's not that old. Seems like the entire show he was seeing things that reminded him of it. It didn't help any when the house keeper kept fighting with the drain cleaning tool, "Come on get IN THERE." My wife and I were rolling on the floor although every guy in the audience was probably asking, "What am I laughing at?"

I just hate getting the doctor who has the 6" long finger.

Thanks Rodger. One of the best things about the visit this morning was being made over by those younger nurses. Ha, ha! One of the very few 'positives' of getting older.

Peacekeeper: How about a doctor who is using a couple of 6 foot long tools headed up into that area? Thank God for what they call 'twilight' drugs. Ha, ha! Unfortunately I am also one that 10% who still felt some of what was going on inside there while being 'out,' so to speak.

Take care, Larry

'twilight' drugs

Twilight drugs? The heck with that. If and when it comes to somebody doing that it's going to be the same way as when I got "fixed." A general to knock me completely out. None of this "bite down hard on this" for me!

But the real question is "did you enjoy the proceedure" :-)
