Last night when I went to bed the weather report on line for Colorado Springs was predicting 53 F, 11.6 C for our high. Driving to work today it was 46 F, 7.8 C. I finally get a car whose heat works and I just about want to roll down the window it was so nice. An hour ago it started to snow! The weather gurus are still saying our high should be 53. I moved to Colorado so I could have four seasons, little did I know I'd get them all in one day.

While the rest of the country is looking forward to spring starting in a few weeks we in Colorado are starting to prepare for our heaviest, most destructive, snow storms. If my storage tent in the back yard can make it through the next six weeks, until I can build a proper storage building/workshop, I'll be lucky.

L..M..A..O..!!!.... :-) :-) :-)

I read HalfYank's weather report with a kind of 'kindrid spirit' because I also experienced the rather NUTSO weather we had here in Colorado this morning......just crazy.
Then I read the other inputs from around the country and thought.....well, it just goes to show, weather can be crazy just about everywhere with a little help from Mother Nature.......THEN I read Jonathan's post from Newfoundland and just about peed my pants!!.... :-) :-)

Ahhhhh........funny stuff guys.......

Although Jonathan.....I'd be a bit worried about this bit..." Had a ring of clouds that looked a lot like the eye of a huricane follow me 3 days ago. ...."
Methinks the 'Big Guy' may have it out for you...... ;-)

LMAO!!!
I had the pleasure of experiencing that late morning storm today. I am in Colorado on business and drove up from Colo Springs to Boulder today. That was real sticky stuff, I stopped in Castle Rock for lunch and had to scrape an inch of snow off the head lights and out of the radiator openings. It stopped by the time I got to 470 though.

I personnally enjoy driving in it but I have never experienced anything that stuck to a car like that before.

HalfYank and Tread, I forgot you guys lived here. It would have been nice to add some more faces to the names....I'll be around here until Friday AM.

Was 60F here Sunday. It is 14F now. No wonder half the people at work are out sick. And, Indiana is having the annual statewide tornado siren tests today, so we have twister season to look forward to...

Monday, I drove home top down in 50 degree warmth.
Tuesday, I drove home in a whiteout snowstorm so heavy my wipers were clogging up.
Today, the sun's out and the windchill is below 0.

I don't see any problem with the weather in Colorado. Been nice for many days in a row now. Of course, I live in the good part of the state, west of the mountains. Hope some of you guys from the east side can make it over for our contest in August.

Texas weather is just as crazy. It can drop 30 degrees in an hour. We get all those artic blasts roaring down on us that pass through Colorado and kansas, then the blasts of hot air up from the Mexican desert of course throw in the moisture from the gulf. Tornado alley boys. Very rarely do we get snow but sure get some nasty ice storms. People here go nuts when it starts raining hard pulling off the road going 10 MPH. You oughta be here for an ice storm

I'm up for that. I finally got a half way reliable car and I'm ready for a road trip.

Same thing happening today. Great weather on the way to work, then talking about 45mph wind gusts and an inch of snow this afternoon and evening. Oh well, I chose to live here, and I still love it.

Howdy Rodger,

Believe me buddy, I haven't forgotten about your car 'upgrade' and the idea of getting together.......just looking for a proper engagement to make it 'worth your wile'.......

Was fortunate enough to finally get to talk with Dixon66 just a wee while ago, and I mentioned a few ideas to him. He obviously has visited Colorado before and hopefully he will be back soon.
Probuilder apparently lives in Pueblo so we'll leave him to the wolves!........... ...just kiddin' Probuilder, maybe we can schedule a meeting sometime this Spring/Summer when the PPIR is beginning to get in full swing?
Maybe we can even talk HalfYank into sittin' still long enough to enjoy some 'round'e'round' ?.....

Anyway, maybe next time fellas....

Tread.

BTW......I hear they don't have any model stores down in Pueblo?

Greetings, fellow Coloradoans. Guess if Pueblo is far enough away to leave to the wolves, I'll have to settle for coyotes and buzzards, since I live way over in little ol' Grand Junction. Anyway, if any of you do venture over this way, let me know.
