At the weekend I purchased a can of Humbrol "Modellers Spray Paint"-Dark Matt Green to use on a BMP-2 (1/35) for the Seeing Red campaign. Not having an airbrush I didn't fancy trying to get an even first coat by hand.
I was wondering if anyone has used this product before and if so do they have any comments on its suitability in terms of risk of uneven or too thick paint coverage?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks October

I haven't used Humbrol spraycans myself, but I have seen models painted with spraycans, with amazing results. Check out rv1963's 1968 Firebird, in the civilian models forumhttps://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/46828&page=1
I think all spraycan experts put the cans in hot water (Not boiling) to get better flow.

I use Testor's Model Master paints on military models and also on automobiles. I think it works pretty well. I have put the cans in warm water some if the temps were a little cool and it does help. I have finally bought a can of Tamiya Spray, but have not used it yet. I'm looking forward to trying it. I'd like to have a can of the Humbrol because a lot of people here use it and really seem to like the results it provides.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen, I think a test spray might be in order, but on balance I'll probably take the leap into the now somewhat less unknown.
Again many thanks, October

Quick update on the Humbrol spray paint. After undercoating with Citadel Chaos Black (also from a spray can),followed advice, warmed the can, sprayed from a distance in thin layers.
I am very pleased with the results, even coverage with no apparent loss of detail. I am confident to use it on the rest of the kit when the time comes.
Cheers October.
