I'm never quite sure where to put these sorts of posts, and I normally feel kinda guilty putting them in the General Modelling forum, but I had to share this with all of you.

You might be wondering why it is such a great day for the South African forum. It's pretty simple actually, and many of you may think this quite mediocre, but today our membership grew from 33 to 37. Now, many of you might be thinking "Ooh, whoop-de-doo, 4 extra members", but when your membership grows by 12% in one day, that is quite a big deal!
I'd like to thank George Winship from MDF Modelling for mentioning Armorama in his regular newsletter, which is I guess a huge token of appreciation for us listing his site on Armorama

I know you'll all make our newest Safrican recruits - crotale; Vorster; Blaster; and Barracuda - welcome on the greatest modelling site on the web!

Now... I'm off to the pub to celebrate!

Ahh....I remember the day when I was upset that no one from Africa had voted in this poll. So I went out and tried to find a forum that I could announce the site too. It was a SA forum if I remember correctly. Those were the days...

Jim, thanks for setting that up. I've gotta say, looking at that poll, you must have been pretty dissappointed to have had more members from Antarctica than Africa! LOL :-) :-) But we are slowly gaining momentum and hopefully we'll have a whole host of members joining soon - don't forget we have several Ex-pats on the site as well (I think Savage is just one but to name a few)

Henk, fortunately Afrikaans is close enough to Dutch for me to understand that :-) . Thanks, I'm sure the lads will show some of their work soon.
