Hi,

I'm trying to find some sites with a bit of info on Canadian Centurions, any suggestions? Is it correct to say that the Canadian Army only used Mk.5s and Mk..11s?

thanks,
Mike.

We used Mk 3s through 11.
*shameless plug* After I couldn't find any info online about Centurions, I picked up Barry Beldam's "Canadian Centurion Gun Tanks", available from quartermastersdepot.com. It's a very detailed technical history, with modellers in mind. That site also has decals and paint schemes for them too.
I've got two on the go right now, a Mk 3 and a Mk 5.
Cheers, hope this helps.
Mike

I'm hoping to pick up that book next time I'm in Toronto... I think i saw it at Keith's Hobbys... I picked up the Tamiya kit, and I'm thinking about picking up the Legends Mk. 5 conversion... but I'd like to do a later version...

Mike.

I'm waiting for the Tamiya kit, over a month now by mail, and that will receive the Legends Mk 5 turret, which I'm finished assembling. The Modelcraft version is a reasonably accurate early Mk 3, so that is what it will end up as! Being in Edmonton, all my Cdn tanks end up being LdSH.
Keith's Hobbies is one of QM depot's vendors, advertised on their site.
Good luck!

I picked up the book yesterday from Keith's. I'll try to get into it tomorrow. I also picked up the Italeri Leopard 1a2. I might pick up the Trackjam conversion for the group build... or do the Centurion. hard to say..

What? Only four models underway at once? I have seven underway. I might even finish one for Canuck Steel.

Check out http://members.tripod.com/~steel-thunder/ While this site deals with Australian Centurions it does have an excellent series of photographs. I am not sure how well they related back to Canadian Centurions? While I am on the topic of things Australian check out Mouse House Hobbies at http://www.mheaust.com.au/MHE/Catalogue.htm I picked up several of their 1/25 Centurion sets to go with my Tamiya kit. Well made. If their 1/35 stuff is as good it would be money well spent. From order to delivery to BC it was 3 weeks.

I've got the legends complet resin Mk V kit in stock. Looks good but is pricey. However, It does correct a lot of the errors in the Tamiya kit. I plan on combining mine with the legends Australian Mk V, which gives you the searchlight, turret basket and external fuel tank, to make aCandian Mk XI.

Are you combining the Legend's Mk. V kit with the Legends Austrailian Mk. V kit? or the Tamiya kit with the Austrialian Mk.V kit?
