A couple of days ago, a Mercedes was run over by a Leopard tank (on a main road in Norway).
Follow the link picture of the Mercedes:

There were two persons in the car. Both survived with almost no injuries.

I think I'll switch to a Leopard. Seems safer to drive around in that... :-)

I just read about it, in a Danish newspaper. They were very lucky, very lucky indeed

Full fart does not mean... eh... "full fart"...
In norwegian it means maximum speed.

The story is about a married couple that were out driving with their Mercedes. They were driving in an area where the big milityary exercise Battle Griffin is held.
The road was open to both military vehicles and sivilians.

The couple in the Mercedes saw the Leopard tank, and pulled over to make space for the Leopard. But instead of slowing down and turn over to the other side of the road, the Leopard hit the Mercedes with maximum spead (FULL FART!) and didn't stop untill it had completely run over the Mercedes...

Well the pictures speaks for it selv about the damage.

Luckily no one was seriously hurt. The guy that was driving the Mercedes was able to lean over to the passengerside, and just felt a bit pain in his back and shoulders. The roof was pressed down on to his shoulder and cheekbone... Not much space... Lucky man!
But I think he have to use quite a lot of putty to fill the gaps and dents in his car.. :-)

Had something like that happen to me in Germany. My driver over-corrected making a turn and of course the Germans are an impatient lot so we kissed the clowns car. put a huge dent in it we never even felt it in the tank, if I hadn't been in the TC's hatch we'ld of never known. It's an experience driving over there. If you've ever driven in Dallas, we call it "combat driving" here. These guys in their pickups and SUV's will just about run you off the road either that or run 2 ft off your bumper.....during RUSH Hour !!!!!!!!!!!! The Germans are all that nuts too. That's why I had a Porsche so I could compete

Nice to see that for once a Merc driver doesnt own the road and can come off worse no matter what they may think :-)
