Ah- I've just noticed yr signature isays cornflakes, not all-bran, so the Stanley Unwin quote is probably not appropriate, and could be misconstrued...

Indeed it is! However, best not listen to it when using glue/ thinners, or you run the risk of a nice psychedelic sherman. Mind you.... hmmm

Now there's a thing- I've got a fair bit of Zappa stuff, but that ain't one of them. I heard it when it came out at someone's house, but can't remember much of it. Mind, when it comes to FZ, I have to say I'm not too keen on stuff like Yellow Shark. It 's one of those things that I occasionally wonder about when i read these forums- what music do our fellow modellers listen to? I have to admit that some are easier to stereotype than others!!! :-)

October- today I've mostly been listening to The Pretty Things. Don't know much about Nazareth, apart from their cover of Tomorrow's My White Bicycle, and yes, I do feel ignorant. Was Zal Cleminson fromSAHB in Nazareth for a while?

Blimey, that's a long one!
Cheers,

I must admit to having a copy of Thing Fish, starts of strong but I think weakens by the last side(clearly I own the LP box set ah its an age thing). Its that old Zappa trick of putting new material, the lyrics or plot, over old tunes. You may have heard the original material, on the You Can't do that Anymore series-Brown Moses and The Evil Prince are two which spring to mind.
Nevertheless its certainaly mocks traditional Zappa targets-best not mentioned to great effect.
Cheers October

Metal Machine Music?
Love the Velvet Underground. I'm more of a Tomorrow Belongs to Me man meslf on the SAHB front. Always regret not having seen them live, they were supposed to be excellent.
At the moment it's M16 GMC and the first Love album, and then Spacemen 3, Ithink.
Then it's to the beer hall!
Hurrah!
