I am in Knoxville, helped form the Model Club here over 30 yrs ago. Used to do alot of scratchbuilding, have a first place trophy from the IPMS Nationals Atlanta show in the mid '70's around here somewhere. Still enjoy modeling but old age and artharitus (SP, I've got it but can't spell it) have dropped my productivity to almost zero. Going to try to get over to the Model Show this weekend to see all my old friends.

Doug Kinder (posted above) was attempting to start up an AMPS chapter in east tenn. There is an Atlanta chapter also, and a show coming up in Feb 09, the first AMPS south-eastern regional ever. Look for announcements soon in regional shops, in Boresight, and on the web. Supporting the guys doing this show is probably one of the best things you can do, because not only will you be contributing, you'll learn a lot and make some new friends.

Hey Ron,
If you live in the Knoxville area, the local IPMS chapter meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at the Hobbytown USA in Turkey Creek shopping center. We love to have you come by sometime. The meetings start around 6:30PM.
