My oldest daughter got married back in Oct, 2004....I told her she had to wait until I was at least 40 before making me a grandfather, and she did...barely!

I turned 40 on Feb. 11th...she's due in Oct/Nov, but has to see her OB for her actual due date.

I just received the news a couple hours ago, and since my wife already told everyone we know, I had to tell someone...

I'm too young to be a grandfather. The idea will take some getting used to, but I'm pretty excited about it.

Congrats, Pal! 40 is not so young to be a Granddad!

I'm 49, my oldest is 25, and the youngest is 19 and was married in Nov.

Her husband is in Iraq now, so no chance of grandbabies for at least a year.

My best to you, your wife and most of all your daughter!

Keep us in the loop!

Cheers

Ciao Daryl,
Congrats on the news! Now, you are going to have to move your models (and everything else) higher so the baby can't reach them.
Ciao for now

babys are like dogs on the modeling point of view, cats also. if you leave a model and they get the hands, paws on it they will destruct it, so make your room baby proof! :-)

congradulations!

I am going to be a Grandad (grumps) again in May,nice timing it upset my holiday plans, children have no thought for anybody but themselves, but there is a sting in the tail for them, its going to be a boy, just think how i can exert my malign influence on him with words like Dragon,Tamiya,Historex,Verlinden, the list is endless,if they think they have got it bad with my Grandaughter wanting to visit castles, battlefields and museums, they aint seen nothing yet :-) :-) :-)

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

I already told my daughter I plan to brain wash the little one regardless if it's a boy or girl. Best part is I'll be able to give him or her back (if I ever feel the desire).

And not to worry...the modeling room is safe...I have a 3 year old...
