Like I already said through messenger... It`s a stunning piece of steel mate. I know what you mean with the law stuff it is exactly the same in Holland.
Still it is a cool piece of furniture :-) :-) :-) :-)

Well have all the fun you want with it, but please, if you ever want to sell it. Let me be first on your list. How much did you buy it for?

Well mate i got a great bargain (not as good as Fausts iron cross though )
theyre fetching around £600.00-£800.00 for rough and fair examples in the u.k. i paid a lot less (low hundreds) only because my friend is expecting his first son and needed cash fairly quick so i raided the piggy bank .

Rather than badgering K, check out a US DEALER. Here's a nice non-firing version for only $895.

Dave:
Yeah, I thought soo too!
Oh K, forgot. Nice looking iron you have there....I assume you are single. If not, I'd love to hear the line you used on the significant other to get THAT into the house.

The "what to do with it next?" question was what stopped me buying a de-ac Russian DP 1928 that I saw in a shop in Bristol. That and carrying it home on the train.... Mills bombs are much more portable.
When my brother worked in Portsmouth he ferried all the guns to the D-Day tapestry museum on Southsea Common in the boot of his car. Spent most of the journey practising what he was going to say to the Old Bill if he got pulled over

Heck, buy the functional (semi-auto) MG34 at the link below. You couldn't afford to shoot it full auto anyway...
1,500 rpm @ +/- .20 a round equals about $300 a minute.

Shaun has a great idea harrison ! Mg-34's were more numerous too it might fit in better with your area and period of re-enacting ?
