Ryan, I'm not a staff member but I signed up last week and my Silver membership took about 2 days.

It usually takes Jim a day or so to notice he got a payment and activate your membership privileges. Then there's the secret handshake and the "Welcome to the club" wetdown...

I think the extra space is worth the money. Its great to be able to post your work and keep your work "at hand". I still feel Im visting the site free!
