The other day we had a soldier turn his rifle on himself. He put a 3 round burst into his head. Our Medevac responded , and was enroute to the hospital within 7 minutes. He died of wounds the following evening. I do not know why he did this, but my sympathy goes out to his family. It was officially listed as a "training accident" so that his family would be able to recieve survivor benefits. Please say your prayers for his family.

I had not heard about the second case. And of course would not have heard about the first. Either way the loss of life in both cases arer extremely sad. When I went into Air Force
Basic. We were told that Two guys had killed themselves by jumping off the top of the buildings roof. I too agree that it is only apart of the times that we live in.
