Always found them helpfull, but I only buy online. Delivery isn't as prompt as some other traders, but any questions are answered and problems (if any) sorted quickly and efficiently.

I am with Dave on this, I buy on line and any problems (very few) have always been dealt with quickly, unlike there delivery which I must say is very much snail mail with two - three weeks not out of the question.
But on the few ocasions I have been to the shop I have been treated just the same as if I was in any high street shop.

Ciao

I usually order from Hannants over the phone and twice now I've given them my updated card details and twice the person I'm dealing with has neglected to enter the updated details on their system, resulting in me getting a nice little letter saying " your card has been declined, please advise etc".
Needless to say I'm none too impressed with this and tend to keep my dealings with Hannants to a minimum. Plus as others have said their delivery times aren't the best.

I will however say that on the only occasion I have been able to visit their Colindale shop I was impressed with both the attitude of the staff and the range of stock carried.

I have ordered from Hannants quite a few times before and i don't intend to stop. I don't mind the 10 day wait i seem to get all the time. Probably because when i am at school time flies past... i wish :-)
If you are ordering from theese guys just find something else to do for a couple of days it won't kill you.

I've used them in the past found thier service poor and my local shop has a trade acct with them so anything in Hannants they will order it in for me so no P&P charges and a 10% discount from the shop

I will not use Hannants unless I have to. In this day and age I can get a kit from Hong Kong (Lucky Model) in 7 days. Why should I wait 2 weeks or more for something from 200 miles away? I cannot understand the comment from Scott above i.e. "find something else to do for a couple of days it won't kill you"
Why should I? If I pay for a service that I require, and someone the other side of the world can provide that service in 7 days, whilst somebody down the road takes 2 weeks I know where I'm going to shop in future.

I agree with Vinnie, unlike others here I usually get the 28 days wait, although I have twice received items from them within 2 days of ordering.

Usually I only order AM or items on special that I want and am not in a hurry for. If I’m in a hurry, I order from http://netmerchants.co.uk ordered some items yesterday, they arrived this morning and at the moment, Free postage to boot.

Accurate Armour is a small company compared to Hannants, and they give excellent service! The same goes for Modelsforsale, small company, excellent service.

I live close enough to London to visit the Colindale shop, and sometimes share my sandwiches with the squirrels in the park opposite. Service is okay, but nothing great.

Worth visiting though to have a look through the old stuff at the back of the store. Managed to pick up the original Tamiya Marder MICV among other things, and not at a collectors price either.

Ten days is a bit long to wait for mail order, more than a week and I'm drumming my fingers.

Before today I would have agreed with the slower than expected delivery time comments. On a previous occasion a PE set took some time to arrive. However a set I ordered on Friday arrived today, which was a nice suprise.
So at the moment its 50/50.
Cheers

Visit Colindale and order online.....ALWAYS very helpful.
Went in for a SU-22M4 the other week and they had sold out. One of the very nice gents, a South African, gave me his personal one from home..... NOW That IS service.
Got a free cockpit with it too.

What a superb place. I will only order elsewhere if Hanants is out of stock.
