This years show exceeded the expectations of both the organizers and many attendees. With over 450 entries, and a very good overall turnout the Silicon Valley IPMS is promising to look for a better location for next years show. And a good move too as the lighting at Napredak Hall is very poor indeed. I even included a photo of the traditional "pen light viewing" by two observers.

If you know details on some of these kits please post them as comments on the photo detail page. Click below to view the gallery.

Wow Jim - nice photos you managed to capture from the show! Thanks for putting the Gallery up. It was big fun to hang out with you and Charles Reading at the show - I bounced off the walls all day long...

I had a great time to, I was so impressed by the armor models there. Both the number and quality of armor subjects supprised me. There were a few areas I didn't see though because I am affraid of the dark. I agree with making things comfortable for everyone but I think things are going to far when they make sure vampires will be comfortable at the contest.

Jim,
Thanks for posting the show pictures. As I was only able to spend about a half hour there, I can now see alot of what I missed. BTW, does anyone know who built the Indian or Pakistani M4A1E9 Sherman in this picture?

Chris - I believe that is one of Jim Weschler's (Los Angeles) Shermans. He's into the modern-era variants big time. If you shoot me an e-mail, I'll forward you his...

Jim,

It was fun to hang out with you and 'Gunnie' Lewis.
I learned alot about what goes into running a site as massive as Armorama just by listening to you guys.
The lighting is horrible but the models were exceptionable (at least those I could see) Thanks for the pictures....see you soon.
Cheers,
Charles
