Thanks for the inside scoop Vinnie. Im particularily interested in the vinyl figures. The detail looks good .. I see they have exact-fit blocks in the arms for correct placement. Has anybody actually completely painted some of these figures yet? Would love to see how they turn out! To paint them with the hoods would be nice, or something totally different! Thanks for taking the time to share with us!

Frank, I want to eventually model the figures with the hoods as well, the only thing putting me off a little would be the fact that I have never seen anybody nodel 'flame' in a convincing way? I think you should attempt to have some sort of flame if the figures are modelled with the hoods on. Whilst we are on the subject I have to say that I wish Dragon would provide the figures in 'normal' styrene. Getting rid of the mould seams on these is a task I could do without. Dragon say that it is possible with styrene cement. Maybe they are using 'industrial grade' or something, because I cannot obliterate the seam entirely with normal cement. I wonder about other peoples experiences with these figures?

I have bought a hobby hot-knife, that fits a normal xacto blade, and heats up to "really hot".
I read a good tip on plugging it into a dimmer adapter extension so heat can be controlled better.
see picture here
Might be one way to go. Surface could be improved afterwards with the cement!
Just a thought .. havent tried this myself yet!

Looks like an awesome kit Vinnie. Will you be doing an article on this one, as with the Tiger?

Frank, definately something worth looking into as you say.
Jesper, yep, Started it yesterday, looks to be quite a complicated build even though I've already built all the other Dragom 251 variants, so it will take a couple of weeks, but yep, I hope to do a build-up review of it.

Vinnie, from other sites, I understand that the seam-lines on the new figures can be taken off with a light brushing of liquid cement....Jim

I've tried this with the Humbrol liquid cement Jim, and it needed a fair amount just to lessen the lines. I know there are different fromulations out there, including what is probably the strongest, and most dangerous, being carcinogenic, MEK (methyl ethyl ketone), so I guess I'll have to do some experimenting......Mehhaaahaa.
Sorry..mad scientist persona kicking in...I'll let the site know how I get on.
