Ola People

Well thanks to Cliff who pointed out to me that Armorama had a Militaria forum. And Keenan who kindly moved my German Fieldphone to this forum I thought it would be fun to show off another piece of history I happen to have at home. But..... I decided to make it a bit harder to you guys. I would like you to guess what is inside this unattractive little black box:

And I have to say that I cheated a little bit here as I did some Photoshopping to it. Else it would become far too easy. When I didn`t do some Photoshopping everybody, Even people who don`t have a single crumb of WW2 Knowledge, would know exactly what the contents are as the makers, And not as I tried, didn`t want to make a secret of the boxcontent
Well let`s start off with telling me what is inside the box.

Looks like a box to hold a medal or something.
Is it a Ritterkreuz ?

Would it be a case for a 1st class Iron Cross with Photoshopping to remove the silver outline of the cross from the lid. Is it an LDO case? The case should hold one of these little gems. Do I win a cookie?

Ola People

Well after a good night I see that there are a lot of good guesses popped up. And I can Confirm we have a winner here but also we have an original competitor :-) :-)
Henk
you are right it is a box that contains a medal. But it is not the Ritterkreuz

Cliff
Sorry mate but not much place for Cigarettes in this box.

Dave
I really am Curious what the first Idea was but your second guess was very original.. No this isn`t the personal Drugs container of Hitler that is another box that I have in possesion.... Kidding :-) :-) :-) It is true though that Hitler found out the Drugs abuse very very Early.... A lot of people only found it out 20 to 30 years later.

Jesper
Very very close but no Kriegsverdienstekreuz mit Schwerten.

Last but not least the cookie goes to......

Cody Garland
As he was absolutely right on all fronts. From Content to my little photoshopping cheat. Great job on that... I`ll reveal the Contents now.
The Unphotoshopped box

Well I have this thing in my possession for years and I have never tried to find out what this thing is worth... It has no Damages, the box is in good Condition and the Ribbon is used but still with the cross... What would be the estimate on this I would be very happy if somebody was able to give me an idea of what it is worth (not with the intention of me selling it but more out of interest) ..... More fun is starting another riddle and guess what I paid for it....... Another cookie for the one who comes nearest..

My orginal guess was going to be a presentation case, but not for a medal, but for one of those special pistols that Hitler gave out to his buddies....
