Hello folks,
I'm Phil. Expat Kiwi. Signwriter and pictorial artist by trade. Moved to Australia from Auckland in 1988 to Melbourne then to Brisbane 8 years ago.
Into rugby union and doing what I want to do. 99% of the time I'm playing with putty or drawing.
With my figures I like to protray correct body language and anatomy and they look like the bloke who lives nextdoor to us all. There are other periods that I like. Every thing from Romans to Coyboys and Indians.
The biggest buzz i get is to encourage people to sculpt thier own figures and to "Have a go" and see thier enjoyment of a job done and the figure world becomes thier oyster.

Good luck and hope to see some more figure's.

Cheers Phil

PS A mans boots can say more about him than his face.

Mind you I could do with some 1/35 scale diggers to pose with my trucks (hint hint)

Hi phil and hello to all the other guys who have posted to Phil as he is one special bloke and if he gives suggestion about your figure I am going to go out on a limb and say Listen and learn - this bloke is a genius with putty ( and Football stories) I have the privilage of learn off this master as I am a fellow Queenslander and Aussie and I only live 15 mins away from phil and drink far to much of his beautiful wife' tea (love ya Noelly) His figures are even better in the flesh under light or in natural light. he even blend his colours on the bases. I have seen on piece his D day diver that has the water patterns of moving water -darkening as you look down the figure - I cannot describe the technical skill and total genius it took but hey I have seen it and hopefully If and I say IF we talk nicely you may be able to turn over some small amount of cash to have a Phil Walden casting. They will worth it
Well I think I have said enough about my mate to make him turn pink see ya mate
