Howdy matt,

Now wouldn't that be a cool work vehicle......

But, your post got me curious, so I decided to look around a bit and see what I could find......guess what, got ya beat.
Here's a link to where you can buy your very own Soviet Mi-24 HIND military helicopter!!!

Check it out. The don't post a price, but maybe we could all take up a collection???

Tread.

EDIT: Thanks to Vodnik, I have edited this post. The link is in my lower post if anyone's interested.

How DO you embed a url address within the words 'Mi-24 Hind for sale' for example?

In the opening tag you put [ URL=http://.... ] - but without spaces - where you replace dots with web page address, instead of regular [ URL ] and then put your display text (e.g. Mig-24 for sale) between tags.

Darryl
The only 1:35 scale offering was a 70's vacform kit by a company called Schmidt, it needed a fair bit of work though. Roco do a 1:87 scale model of the goat.

I must admit that if someone did one in plastic I'd have one.

Thanks Pete...I guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for one. I'd just like to have models of all the vehicles I used when I was in the Army.

You and me both! It's the only vehicle we had in my battery (and just about the only one in the entire battalion) that you can't find or convert.

We gotta start a campaign to get somebody to make one. Here's my thought: You bring out the basic, and then you can offer the ambulance conversion as well as the commo version with the drop in module with the Radio Teletype machines inside. You could either do it as add on kits OR make a 3 in 1 kit!!!

We need to start talking this one up!!!

Why don't you all email Dragon or Trumpeter or one of the major makers and see what happens? I'm sure that if enough folks email em asking for a goat they "might" take notice. let me know which one you all email and I'll join in.

An excellent suggestion. Given all the discussion in the Armor Forum about the various manufacturers and their "strategies", which do you suppose might be the most receptive? There are lots of things to consider in addition to general interest in the kit, such as "fit" with the other items they already make, the overall receptiveness to "customer feedback", and desire to take "risk" and create a new item.

Any thoughts on who might be the more receptive? I sure don't mind sending them and email that's for sure!
