Hello everyone here's my 1:35 Tamiya Leopard 2A5 that acted as a mobile outpost in Kosovo, I did this model a while back. Just hoping to share some of my photos

Beautiful build and finish!
I love the way the weathering effects on the skirts, especially around the bolts; nice buildup of dust, dirt and grime on the roadwheels, drive sprockets and the skirts above it.
I'd say that this is a fine example of weathering; one that does not hide the details, yet has achieved a used appearance.
I did notice the shackles for the tow cable mounted close to the the left rear mud flap (4th image) seems to be too shiny. Shouldn't that be weathered to match the surrounding area?
How did you make the the sunshade? All it needs is a couple of crewmen on a relaxed stance in the TC and loader's hatches, and a pair of binocs nearby.
A good one, I really like it.

I must admit that very few modern subjects interest me. Mostly because they have very few battle history.
But the workmanship on this one is very good. And yes it could do with some troops sunbathing on the turret.

Thanks BT6, Shonen, and Mondo
Yes, thank you BT6 for noticing the shackles, that actually caught my eye awhile back -I'll do something about that.
About the sunshade, I used the red plastic netting you get from buying those mini ponkans :-) as a base, -then torn tissue paper as filler. I drenched the netting in Elmer's white glue then just drizzled the tissue above. It also helps to glue the posts on the netting and pre-measure the area they will be put to. Wait for the glue to dry then blast it with paint from your airbrush.
This soaks up alot of paint so I guess it would be ok to use a very light coat of black poster paint. -just to hide the white areas(they get pretty annoying, just after you thought you've covered all then comes a white part sticking out), then your main shade of green- I used -olive green and field grey(which isn't really grey at all) just to add contrast.
And about the people, well I've been thinking about that for a long time plus a diorama. I have a commander figure that came with the kit. But it all seems too lonely for him. I'll add em' as soon as I find the right figures.
I am really interested in doing WW2 as well and I am hoping to focus more on that this year. I have an unfinished m3 -Japanese captured version - on the shelf -90% done- I'm hoping to do a dio of it as well, soon. And an IS-3m for a campaign I'm doing with GIberegovoy -Seeing Red-

Nice work Beans. I like the way you applied the subtle weathering especially the side skirts. Keep it up
Cheers
