I read a question on another site re this title the chap wanted to know what armour they used, I didnt know ithat the FFL faught in world war 2 I tried a google search but couldnt find any details could someone throw some light on this subject Im curious.(had to turn to the experts )

John,
the Foreign Legion was split in the war between those that supported the Free French and those who supported the Vichy regime. Most famously they defended Bir Hacheim during the Gazala Battles of May 42. Bir Hacheim is the most southern point in this map.
They helped hold up Rommel in his offensive towards Egypt.

Thanks for the help guys.I know nothing about the FFL so that made some interesting reading,I past it on to the guy on the other site he had no replies I also gave the Big "A" a plug
