Nothing too serious on my bench. Currently, I am working on Academy's MH-60 Pavehawk, which I may add some scratchbuilt stuff to but maybe not. In the planning stages are a Patriot Missile Battery to be hauled by an Italeri HEMMT to be modified to a tractor version for Heavy Haulers and a 1/72 scale Stryker, which may grow to a 1/35 if no one comes out with a kit within the next 6 months.

Working on a scene with a fast stream being forded by a patrol... three fellas are enjoying a swim while two local woment share the same stream to wash their laundry... three areas of focus... each grouping wiht their own "story" to tell about what they are doing at te river at the same time... the patrol is taking care of business, the swimmers are bath with some monkey business, and the locals are "business as usual" for them.

Hi All,

Was forced to build the cockpit of the HC DO-17. It came out ok and I was happy with the results. Now if I could just get the plane painted we would be good to go!

Wow Animal thats another one of your very impressive builds. As for me, just finished scratchbuilding part of a boat and submitted it for the Quiet Professionals campaign. Once I'm done with the figures I will start to scratchbuild a little vignette that has a bit of secondary jungle on the edge of a padi field.

Hi,
At an impass at moment having to move bench and tools. Ongoing ----1/25 scale Centurion BARV,1/25 Centurion Recovery MkII. Started them in tandem a while ago but have moved from Bordon in S England toScotland ------still trying to sort out tools and 250 kits. Not long finnished a scratch(ex running gear)of Israeli M51-Trailblazer ,after thinking of it 10yrs ago,(pic in gallery). Must finnish my ANTARs-they are sulking in a box in loft-----think I willset target for them all for SMW -Telford this November--- should get me going. If any-one is doing Accurate Armour's latest Oshkosh have a glim on my site
Got a project on for Fine Scale model magazine if I can get motivated.
More pic to follow when I find them,

Models are made for enjoyment---NOT for rivet counters.

Haha well my scratchbuilding is not much more than making some accesoires for a tank or something like that. I've tried to make a SU76i on a dragon pzkfw III but it turned out like a real disaster and I haven't tried anything since then as I'm affraid I spend a lot of time in it without any results!

So, no more scratchbuilding for me I'm affraid...OOTB OOTB OOTB OOTB OOTB !!! :-)

Hi scratchers,
Jumping about at the moment -basking in a bit of self glorification. Just seen the March copy-"Special I ssue" of Fine Scale Modeller(great mag),and found a picture of my scratch built Israeli Trailblazer recovery-taken last year at the Scottish Nationals in Perth .Recognition at last for a scratchy--now that helps to get me going again .
Think I shall go and have a not-so-wee dram , and blow a trumpet or two ........if Idon't who will.
Keep on scratchin..

Barv,
Congrats on making it into the mag. Now about that Trailblazer. I am thinking about one as my next scratch project when and if I ever finish my BARV. I have a lot of photos of the Trailblazer in a museum, but I have not been able to find any photos in use. I would like to know more about stowage, if you might be able to help. I am about to give up and just plan it as a museum piece. At least the base would be simple, just glue on some model RR gravel.

Jim,
This beastie was made mainly from photos taken -at its final resting place-which ,like the vehicle, don't exist, never has existed and can't be photoed .
Unfortunately, the CES had been stripped out before it was laid-up-----pics taken same day, about 2yrs ago....BUT..I can try to find out--(need to speak call),to invisible man.
Contact me at home for exchange of info.
BARV
ps....Have started drawing plans-be a while-if any-one else is interested.
