Just wondering if any of you have heard of any new 1/35 Vietnam releases. And if not does anyone have any explanations for why that subject is not very popular. Is there any thing Nam modlers might could do to change this.

I am waiting for the new release of the 1:35 Academy M-551 Sheridan light tank (including a Nam version) in this year and may be a new M-42 Duster from AFV Club in the future. I just learn that Dragon had released some 1:35 figures such as the Viet Cong and the NVA Sapper on the web... a long time ago but no information in the hobby shops of my region (only WW2 and modern era, my hobby sellers are anti-Nam war! ). I finally bought them from Ebay.
Some other Nam AFV kits that I wish: V-100 Command Car (not resin), USMC M-50 Ontos, Mitsubishi CJ3 Jeep, Jiefang CA10 truck (Chinese copy of the Soviet ZIL-150), Chinese Type 63 Armoured Personnel Carrier (also known as YW-531 or A-531), Chinese Type 63 or WZ-211Amphibious Tank (a russian PT-76 copy with the turret of the Type 62 & 100mm gun)...
Trumpeter recently launched a model survey, if I remembered well, there was a link on Armorama. There is also another model survey on the Revell-Germany website. I think that many modeller's suggestions about the Nam era can get something from the model manufacturers.

Apart from the M551 and the (delayed) M42 Duster - not a lot. However, as usual keep watching the News Section, as we're always posting the most surprising new releases!..Jim
