When did the Panzerfaust first come into wide-spread use? Thanks for your time.

just my opinion here:
When the Volkstrum (Home guard) was created, their primary weapon was the panzerfaust. They were to stop the rush of Russian tanks into Berlin.
One shot, disposable weapons...
