I was wondering, where do you all get your historical information when building a vehicle, plane etc. Anyone have any good sites to recommend with OOB's and info on how vehicles were fought in battles?

Hey Maurice, well for me i'll start doing a search on the net using Google. Let's just say you want to do something on the "Gulf War", you can search the net, go to a book store or library and find articles and facts on that subject, then just take notes. For "Out Of Box" reviews again using Google, let's just say "M1A1 Abrams" type in "1/35 M1A1 Abrams review" now if anyone did a article on that it will come up. Here are a few other sites that have construction reviews.

Anyway, I always like to go the U.S. Army homepage and go to the history section. The National Archives has some things to look at. My local library (which happens to be onbase) has an extensive collection of stuff to look through. Another place is Books a Million or Barnes and Nobles. Both places are great for looking through books. Last, but not least, I search the webpage a lot. Most Army units have webpages and every one of them have a history (or photos) section.

The reason I was asking was because I am building a PAK 40 and was trying to find some examples of when they were used during '41-'42 to come up with a dio idea. Was thinking of jumping into the Tank Terror campaign last minute and throwing together a first dio to see how it goes. I will just probably make it simple without doing a bunch of research at this point with only one week to go in the campaign. lol
