phew...a couple merit badges, 5 at most, and if its 5 i've gotten about half way through each.. and my project, thats gonna be the big thing. there is also a lot of paper work to do...BSA politics is all i guess... dont really know dont really care about the paper work, sign here, here and here...wahoo earned eagle scout. cant wait till i get it, i'm going to try to get my silver palm for it too, that requires me to earn 15 more badges....not bad i suppose.

I made it to Life before I moved to an area that didn't have a troop.

As an Eagle Scout (1970) I can tell you that this is now the hardest part. Getting it all wrapped up. You are probably 16 - 17 now and there are so many distractions. Sit down , see what you need to finish up the merit badges and aggressively work to finish them up...get them done ASAP or next thing you know you are two weeks from 18 and get frantic. As to the project, document EVEYTHING you do. This is what separates the Eagle from all others. Planning, organisation, and LEADERSHIP. Congrats on JASM. That is absolutely the best youth position in a troop. I got my Eagle at 16 and enjoyed my last two years of scouting immensely. I have been an ASST SM for going on 15 years from now and have successfully put 16 kids through to Eagle (small troop). I've got three that should make it by the end of the year
