Yeah that reads kinda funny huh? :-) What I am referring to is de-gassing molds for use in casting. This ensures there are no air bubbles/ voids in your mold when you cast. It involves a vaccum pump, vaccum chamber and some time. I will explain how I constructed mine from items bought at the local home improvement store (Home Depot) and show the difference in cast items that were done in a mold that was degassed verses those that were not. I just Pressure cook my molds using the casting chamber....... No mojor problems Yet!!!!

OK guys. I did the final trial with mine tonight and it works like a champ. I revised the construction a little for a better seal and now I'm waiting for the silicone to dry on it. I will give it a go in the morning and see how things work out. Hopefully by the end of the day I can have pics of the whole thing and also the article written. I'll keep you informed. "Q"
