In october (the 5th I think) the hobby store chain is going to have a national contest. Anyone going to enter localy besides me? I know its not the strongest competition in the nation but I got a second place at the last one and had a really good time. So anyway, anyone else going to enter?

I plan to enter something. Ibelieve the annual toy and model show in Fargo (about 100 miles from me) will also be that Saturday. That's what happened last fall.

Good luck to both of you. I entered the local in March. Took a first as did my 12 yr. old son. It makes for along day , but fun never the less. Can't ever stay that long and look at all the stuff when the Wife is there. So , it was a nice day off. LOL. Look forward to the National in October.

If I understan right, the best of show award winner goes on the compete in nationals. Do the first place winners also go to nationals for this competition? I am pretty sure that only the best of show from our local store went. Do you guys know anything different?

My understanding is that only the local Best of Show goes to the national contest.
