Good to hear! You know the specs of your upcoming new computer already?

Oh btw, shouldn't this one be in the junk drawer (off topic) or something like that? Don't want to play mod or something like that, just a suggestion

Greetings

Mike

They must be paying 5Bs wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much these days. at least more than the $1200/month I got (less $125 for R & Q) as a 5B back in the dark ages. Enjoy it!!!

you might discover that the speed of your internet conection (telephoneline, ISDN, ADSL, broadband...) is a lot more important than the speed of your computer.

If uploading and internet use is the only motivation to buy a new computer then, assuming that you are not a wizard who understand these things a lot better than me, I would dare to recommend to check this first.

Don't worry it's more than that. My computer decides when and where it restarts etc. It's seven years old now so I can barely run any program out there now. It's time to update.

Mike...when I joined the militia as a youngster after cadets, we got the huge sum of $8.50 per DAY. 1 Month later they raised it to $14.25 and we thought we'd hit the lottery so 1200/month as a RF 5B was good money for a single guy living in the shack.

I was "dial-up" forever, then I got cable. WOW what a difference. My wife's 883 rocks with cable....and that's saying a lot.
