I have noticed that (on the latest posts page) the check box icon used to indicate a new post or topic is not going away, even though I have read the post, closed IE, closed my internet connection, etc., and gone back again later. I thought this might be local to my work PC, but I had the same problem at home later.

Its not showing you what you haven't read. It's showing you the new topics since you last were on the site. And I think the time between checking has to be 10-15 mintues.

In this case it was showing me posts I had read several days before.
Not to worry tho, I cleared my cookies and it seems to be fine...
