This dawned on me today... Need weight for a A/C or other model? Head to the Mechanic or Tire shop and ask for some of the used wheel weights..... They're Lead... and should be free.........

that is right matt....
i used the same 'method'...
just head for any tyre mechanics shop and they will give the thing for free... i even got the new unused weight for free...but it aint free if u dont come there to service your tyre...
so what i did is when i do my preventive tyre maintenance i.e alignment, balancing or changing tyre , then i grab a few of them....

We used to keep a 5 gallon pail next to the wheel balancer....Have used them myself to weight A/C stuff that I used to build..
